nothing but surprises.

after changing the date three times..
finally it was time to surprise
the birthday girl.
my best friend.
chris.

of course she shows up to my house early
therefore i have to stall for about 30 minutes.
during the stall we exchanged christmas gifts.
she got me the best gifts ever..
(i will be posting pictures of them asap)
a yellow scarf and a tan watch.
two of my favorite things
& yellow my favorite color :)

then of to MA mall we went.
on the way to the mall i get a text message
from ds & bb saying..
"OH CRAP! WE ARE RIGHT BEHIND YOU & CHRIS"
chris did notice them when they passed us to turn
left to go to chili's while we went straight to the mall.
but she still didn't even question anything.
she still was clueless about the whole thing.

now for the big surprise.
on our way to chili's from the mall chris asked me..

"do you think blake went to chili's?
that would be funny if he is there."
i just played it off and changed the subject.
once we pulled into the chili's parking lot
at 8 o'clock on the dot.
we could see everyone in the restaurant.
chris looked at me and said
"andrew, sarah, jack, and haven are here.
oh look blake is too."
but still she didn't even realize.
i even yelled..
SURPRISE!
but she just kept driving and parked
right beside superman's jeep.
she even said that looks like superman's jeep.
& that's when once again i yelled..
SURPRISE!
& at that moment it hit here that we were all here for her.

after an amazing dinner with chris & all of our friends
(& watching jm attempt to hit on the waitress)
i could truly tell that chris loved the surprise.

but you know what they say...
the third time is a charm.

oh was i wrong about everything.

today was a day of bitter sweetness..

the final day in my teacher cadet classroom.
I wrote my students a letter
that I had planned on
reading out loud to the class
until one little girl came up to me and
started crying tell me she didnt want me to ever leave.
once i saw the girl i knew i shouldnt read the letter and
my cadet teacher Ms.P read it when i left the class.

            Dear Ms.P's 3rd grade class--
I would like to thank each and every one of you so much for making my cadet teaching experience one that I will never forget. First I would like to thank Ms. Phillips for allowing me to do my cadet teaching in her classroom. She is an excellent teacher and I would be honored to be half the teacher she is one day. You each need to thank her often for what she does for each of you. She loves you all very much. Secondly I would like to thank each of you for making me realize that teaching truly is my calling in life. And I will never forget my “first” class and I hope to have many more in the future with students just like you guys. You have all been a blessing to be around and who knows maybe in the near future I will be your algebra teacher. Each day that I have came to your class; I wake up much easier knowing that I will get to see each of your faces. I always leave PMES with a big smile on my face and I give each of you credit for that. I will miss each and every one of you very much and I wish you all the best of luck on the second half of your third grade year and the many years of school to come.
                                                            Love,
                                                                            Ms. H
after i walked out of the classroom,
i instantly thought of the day before
i walked into my cadet classroom.
Ms.B told my classmates and I to try
and get to attached to our cadet students.
at that moment I thought this woman is crazy
how am I going to get "attached" to snotty nosed, annoying,
bratty little third graders that I will only see for a total of 18 days.

oh was i wrong about everything

of my cousin and her fiance.
she breezed through it like she had done it 50 times before.
today was a day fun filled day
and to top it all off coffee was involved.
she introduced me to my an amazing new coffee shop (:

if only she didnt have 164984632165 other talents
then she definitely would be a killer professional photographer.

raleigh perk is the most well rounded person i know.

everthing started out yuck.

i woke up this morning to find my alarm clock displaying 10:20am.
either i had overslept or it was the 1st snow day of the year..
after getting brave enough to get out from under the warm covers
i walked over to my window to find a major disappointment..
there was no snow!?
what a waste of a snowday.
at that moment i thought this is going to be a yuck of a day...

to my surprise i was so wrong.
as soon as i walked into the kitchen
my mother had already prepared me
exactly what i wanted.
a sausage, ham, and cheese omelet
a side of toast
and my new
peppermint flavored coffee
that had i bought the other day with
my mother's special decorative touch.
yummmm :)

after breakfast
i watched my morning

 "summertime" shows
that i have missed so much
while doing my secret hobby..
wrapping christmas gifts.
my grandmother brought gifts
from her house so that i could
wrap them for her.
so i not only got to wrap hers but i also realized
that i am officially done with christmas shopping
and everything is wrapped
and under the tree :)

superman joined me and my family
in a afternoon of
naps, food,
christmas movies, &
staying warm by the gas logs
on such a cold winter day.

she means everything to me.

chris i love you.

today chris is the big one eight.

chris and i have been best friends since middle school.
the girl knows more about myself then i do.
she definitly is always taking care of me.
i truly do believe that we are long lost sisters.
we have been through it all from laughing until we cannot breath
to crying our broken hearts out.
or in some cases so happy we bust into tears..
i will never forget the day we won the game that sent us to the little league world series. after the last strike was thrown chris sprinted & picked me up and we stood in the middle of the field crying tears of joy and didnt realize there was anyone else in the ballpark until we were the only ones left out on the field.

she is the most caring and loyal person i know.
i know that she would do anything for me.
i have her to thank for the life long memories that she
has provided me mean more than anything to me.

one time then nothing.

im officially the worst blogger ever…

i have realized that if i am going to be able to continue being a member
of the blog world
im definitely going to have to make it a priority.

my week has been busy busy busy.
so here is a very breaf run through.

monday-- december 6th.

i joined the blog world (:

tuesday-- december 7th.

as i opened my eyes on my own and not the obnoxious
BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP.. of my alarm clock,
i knew today was going to be a great day..
the second two hour delay of the year.
PLUS...today was the day of the game
that my small town dies to see..
the big game against "the" mount airy bears.
the only difference was that this year
our guys acualy had a chance
and they brought home a 51-40 victory.

for the first time we had 2 dunk attempts..
even though they were not successful they definitely
got the fans excited and i have a feeling rs&bg will
be attempting again in the super near future.

wednesday--december eighth.

with many yawns
i dragged myself through my school day.
[it is hard going back to the normal schedule
after having back to back 2hourdelays]
another basketball filled night awaited
only this time on our hardwood.
the guys won with ease against EW.
they put on a beautiful show for the fans.

thursday--december ninth.

calculus, calculus, calculus
what more can i say.
from 1:09-9:30
my life revolved
around this subject.
as well as preparing my self for
a friday filled with the
       tattle telling,
       snotty nosed,
       germy,
       3rd graders
that have my heart tied
around their little fingers.

friday--december 10th

the best day of my teacher cadet class..
without a doubt.
i jumped onto a cold activity bus
with 80 third graders along with zb&superman
for a fun filled day to the gertrude house
and chili verde.
the house definitely put the kids in the
christmas spirit&
even santa took some time out of his busy schedule to come see the kids.
chili verde was quite an experience.
oh were the waiters in for a treat.
but the days wasnt all fun and game..
i arrived back at school right in time for a big calculus test.
friday night basketball.
west stokes at home.
the girls grabbed a much needed win.
and the undefeated guys played
against west undefeated guys.
after overtime our guys snatched this
title from west and are now the only
undefeated team in the conference.

saturday--december 11th

up bright and early
and off to the 1st christmas event of the year.
superman came to pick me up as always
(he is such a gentleman)
and off to his great aunts house we went
for a delicious christmas breakfast.
after eating, socializing, gift opening, and
an intense game of hungry hippos
with superman's sister & little cousin
back to my house we went
to see my wonderful grandparents.
the cons and i went christmas shopping
at walmart.
here we found much more than what was on our list
but what’s new.
i also got my secret santa gift for yearbook,
gift bag goodies for my 3rd graders,
and a teacher gift for my cadet teacher.

superman arrived back to my house around five o clock
before we left to go to ah's EIGHTEENTH birthday party.
i cannot believe it!
it was an outdoors chicken stew by a bonfire
therefore superman and i
dug threw my fathers hunting room and found quite unique outfits to wear.
i have to say we looked pretty redneck with our head to toe cameo apparel.

sunday--december 12th.

jesus day..
due to my mothers love for playing the hand bells
at my church she had practice during sunday school
therefore i stepped in and taught her preschool sunday school class.
i instantly fell in love and realized that I now want to officially
become a fill in sunday school teacher for my moms class
for when she needs a break one sunday.
the rest of my day was spent as a lazy day with superman.
i wrapped many many many presents..
why we watched football, ate, & did homework all day.

what a week…

there's a first time for everything

oh where, oh where to begin.

oh yes how I got here would be a great start..

after realizing that I had become an official facebook junky..
i thought hey why not spend this technology time in a more rewarding way.
raleigh perk was my true inspiration to get out and adventure into the blog world
so here I am as a complete newbie…

first off let me introduce you to my better half..

my parents..
lets call them
the cons and the hunter.
i could never ask for two better parents.
they are total opposites that completely balance each other out..
but three things they do have in common is they love me more than i could ever describe and they have a passion for one another that i hope that one day i fell for my future husband 23 years into marriage
and they are kids at heart.

my brother..
lukester
our relationship not like the normal brother sister relationship.
fighting is rare.
but when it does acure there is a quick
im sorry
coming right after the yelling.
he is a very talented young fellow with a great personality.

my boyfriend..
superman
wow what an adventure the past twenty two months with this boy have been.
& there is not another person in this world i would choose to spend this chapter of my life with.
he is my best friend.
he truly is the reason i dont go a day without laughing, smiling, and loving.
he has a passion for the man upstairs that inspires me to be a better christian everyday.
words cannot describe how i feel about this boy...
but im sure you will hear many more words about him in the near future.

my girls..
the fantastic four.

this is chris.
we have been through it all.
this girl is my long lost sister.
i have made so many lifelong memories with her.
without her i would not be the person i am today.
she knows more about me than i probably know about myself.
i love this girl to death.

this is fall-
fall is an amazing all around person.
she cracks me up one minute,
makes me cry the next.
(in a good way of course)
in just a few short months she could possibly be
moving states away from me and
i dont know what i will do without seeing her face
everyday.

this is allie.
allie is the official ear to my stories.

she is the first person to lean in closer when
im in one of my famous story telling moods.
she is the mother hen
and would do anything for me.

"the guys"..
also known as
the red men
pictured is superman rs bb jd & zb..
plus there is jm cm ds & ah.
(i think this picture speaks for itself)
