everything for jake.

its not just wednesday..
today is WOW GOD wednesday.

last week i heard about this a little boy named jake on klove.
jacob mcconahay lives in indianapolis.
he doesnt only have cancer but he has stage 4 alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma..
an extremely aggressive disease that started in his leg.
now it has spread to other areas of his little body.

jake doesnt sit around feeling sorry for himself

or focus on his suffering..instead he wants to make a difference.

he wants to help other kids that are sick just like him.

on his way home one day from the doctor's office

jack told his mother a remarkable thing.

"mom i want to get 1000 pillow pets for other sick kids like me"

his mom, his church, and klove helped jack do just that.

and questioned God for his illness..
jake followed and listened Him.

nothing making sense

this morning i woke up 

to my mother telling me that there was a

two hour delay!?

that meant i wasnt going to have

to get out of bed until 10 o clock.

when i finally rolled out of bed 

i woke up to this..

a two hour delay is all fine and dandy

until i realized that in 5 days is prom.

snow is on the ground 5 days before prom.

why is prom the first weekend of april?

everything baseball.

baseball.

my favorite sport ever.

you know its baseball season when..

everyone pulls out their gasoline heaters & shorts in the same season.

you need either blankets or tank tops.

you are eating peanuts, blowpops, sunflower seeds or hot dogs.

you are wearing sunglasses or  a baseball cap.

oh how i love baseball season.

this week i didnt even have to think
for two seconds about what i wanted to
write about for my 5th WOW GOD wednesday blog
thanks to autumn and her mother.

this week i have been struggling with
my plans for my future and
have been questioning everything.
i let it all off my chest and told
autumn and her mother all about it.
they were so supportive of me
and help reassured me that i am
doing the right thing by staying the path
that God has paved out for me.
autumn's mother explained to me that
faith and trust are huge and that just
because we think something is best for
us doesnt mean that God thinks it is.
everything happens for a reason.
this week God has been testing my faith
and no matter how hard things get i will
follow and trust in Him.

autumns mother explained to me that if
she had followed what she thought was right
and not what God had planned for her
she wouldntbe where she is at today.
which is exceeds everything
she thought she wanted.

yesterday when i got home.
i had a facebook message from autumn
with the sweetest message attached with this video.

also autumns mother gave me some

verses and statements to look at everyday.

so i decided to place two in a place where

i will see every morning and night..

i thank God for allowing my path to cross

with the Cole family often.

they have truly touched my life.

everything unanswered.

i am a person that hides my emotions
im a people pleaser.
i put others before myself.
i try to hide my many many flaws.
tonight i found out that i couldnt hide
my emotions anymore. they all came out at once.

college.
a place that is where i always wanted to be.
a time that is suppose to be the best of your life.
but right now that word is tearing down 
my smile that i have hiding behind.
last night it brought out the worst in me through..
confusion
doubtfulness
questioning
selfishness
uncertainty
fear

so i turned to God.
after praying i got on the laptop
where something caught my eye..
i looked to the left side of the screen 
and saw that the most search person
of the day was garth brookes.
which brought me to the song..
unanswered prayers.
i know this was a sign of reassurance from Him.

lets just say that stress has offically entered my life.
with our final yearbook deadline in 3 days.
finding out about teaching fellows friday.
prom less than two weeks away.
ap exams less than eight weeks away.
graduation less than thirteen weeks away.
and senior week the day after.

in the past few weeks ive caught myself 
saying these things a lot more often than normal..
"i cannot wait until.."
"i wish that..would hurry up and get here."
"i just cannot wait for it to be over."

but WAIT in fourteen weeks this will all be over..
i cannot go back, i can only look back.
i cannot charish the moment thats already past.
i cannot rewind.
it will all be over so fast.

i have soooo much to look forward to

but right now i have so many moments to live and charish
and so many more memories to make with the people i love.

everything summer brings.

with this weird crazy weather lately i have felt teased.
i am really ready for warm weather ALL of the time.
i know its only march and not even spring 
but there are a few things that i cannot wait to have in my life again..

rainbows.

tank tops&shorts.

a tan.

bathing suits.

summer night thunderstorms.

windows rolled down & radio turned up.

spontaneous plans

nike running shorts.
pool & beach.

midnight milkshake runs.

having lazy days.

summer dates with superman.

(hiking on pilot, putt-putt, star-gazing...)

& so much more..

all in all i cannot wait for summertime with the regular adventures

and new ones that this summer will bring.

forgiveness

easier said than done.

everyone has been betrayed, lied to,

and stabbed in the back.

forgiveness is a one way street

it doesnt take two to forgive.

if you have someone in your life

that has done you wrong..

be the bigger, better person

and forgive them 7 time 70 times.

i cannot believe that it is already time for monthly goals again.

time to flip the calendar because its march.

february goals.

1. get mom and dad great birthday presents (check.)

2. tour another college (check. it might be the one.)

3. get superman great valentines day gifts.(check)

    (the third times a charm)

4. continue daily bible readings with superman. (not daily but frequent.)

5. finish my new devotional book (check & im currently rereading it)

    becoming a women of simplicity

6. order & start a new book in the series (it is currently being shipped)

7. drink only one mountain dew per week (only drank 3 the whole month!)

8. have zero snow days (FINALLY!)

9. help someone that needs a helping hand. (check.)

5. attend superman's baseball games,
