ive decided to dedicate a blog each each week for a WOW God moment.

through either a verse, saying, song, story, or quote.

so here i go..my 1st WOW God blog.

how strong do you think your faith is?

would you give up something that you have a passion for?

would you give up something that you had been dreaming about since

before you can remember?

all for what you believe in.

 joel northrup a sophomore in high school did exactly this.

he had a wrestling season record of 35-4. 

he was so close to accomplishing his dream.

his father (a preacher) quotes..

“He's poured his heart and soul into wrestling and into being the best in the state. He's never won a state championship, so he's certainly looking forward to that day. So it's agonizing, from all the work and the effort and the hope. But it's easy in that, he, a long time ago, drew a line and said ‘I don't believe it's right for a boy to wrestle a girl."

he was about to wrestle in front of over a thousand people.

he was just a couple matches away from being the best in the state.

all his work was about to pay off.

moments later he faced his opponent..a girl.

all he had to do was wrestle one girl.

but he gave up all of his hard work, his dream for what he believed in.

he quotes..

"Wrestling is a combat sport and it can get violent at times. As a matter of conscience and my faith I do not believe that it is appropriate for a boy to engage a girl in this manner."

and doing this is front of several thousand people.

he truly is an inspiration to other Christians.

God truly shines through this boy.
