one of my many dream jobs would be to make hallmark cards.

i am obsessed with

birthday, anniversary, thank you, just because,

and every other type of cards.

even though some people just open cards to see who the gift they are about to open is from, to me the card is just as special as the gift.

gifts get worn out, grown out of, and sometimes lost or forgotten

a card is something that you can keep and look back on for forever.

last week was my eighteenth birthday therefore a received many birthday cards from friends and family.

so i thought instead of telling you the gift i received i would share just a few of the cards that were given to me on my big day.

first off my card from my rents was perfect this year..

the next "card" was from my best friend christian..

the next cards were a surprise for two different reasons.

i got home the day after my birthday to find an envelope with my name written in handwriting i didnt recognize on it laying on my bed.

it was a card from my future roomie, amanda.

she is wayyy to sweet.

and last but not least was from superman himself.

not only was the card super sweet

i was shocked by what i found inside of it..

my boyfriend is too good to me.

he definitely was a huge reason of why my birthday

was more than i couldve wished for.

nothing but supermans birthday..oh yes and our anniversary.

this past week has been a week filled of birthdays.

so lets start from the beginning, sunday was supermans birthday.

to celebrate i surprised him with a trip for two to carowinds.

so bright and early sunday morning we were charlotte bound.

superman can be such a dweeb. 

 you can never be to old for the carousal..

  but they are great places for power naps.

or to old for lunchables.

sunday also was a big day for both superman and i.
we also celebrated our two and half year anniversary.

i had an absolute blast. thanks for making me feel like the

luckiest girl everyday for the past two and half years.

there is no one else i'd rather have spent this journey with.

just in case you missed the obvious..

ive been slacking when it comes to blogging in my life lately.

so i thought why not start again with some monthly goals.

since to no ones surprise i didnt make june goals

let me first fill you in briefly on my life over the past month.

i experienced my last days walking down the hall of ES as a student.

watched my best friend win her third state championship.

packed packed and packed for the beach.

ended a chapter of my life that has meant so much to me by

turning my tassel.

became an alumni of ES.

had the best week of my life at senior week.

joined all 499 of the other upcoming freshman teaching fellows in raleigh.

experienced many first iv, surgery, and stitches thanks to my wisdom teeth.
and so much more...

everything royal.

today is  april 29th.

a day that will now forever be important to london

but a day that has been important to me for the past 13 years.

this morning i yes did wake up at five o clock

to watch THE royal wedding.

im a huge kate fan.

she amazes me how well she

takes the heat of the media but then again

when you look and act like her its not easy to find a flaw.
she truly is a great role model.

 

anyways back to the wedding..

kate looked absolutely stunning.

she pulled of the long sleeved dress

but then again she could pull of wearing anything.

today would have been sally's 13th birthday.
we called her the queen of our house so therefore
i was far from surprised when i found out the date of the royal wedding.

after realizing that i almost completed every single on of my goals on first monthly goals, ive concluded that when you make your goals known to others it is more motivating to accomplish them. so that is why i have decided to countinve..so here is to february.

4. continue daily bible readings with superman.

5. finish my new devotional book

    becoming a women of simplicity

2011

the year ive been dreaming about for thirteen years.

this is going to be..

the biggest

most life changing

most bitter sweet

most memorable

most emotional

most unbelievable

year of my life.

Just a few expected adventures coming my way this year are..

2 years.
in only a few weeks being about to celebrate the past twenty four months
of my life with the one that i call my bestfriend.
better known to the blog world as superman. 
choosing a college.
making a decision solely by & for myself
that will determine the place i will call my second home.
graduating.
being about to call call myself an alumni of ESHS.
senior week.
the last week of my life with the people that i owe a thank you to
for making the past four years of my life beyong amazing.
summer.
family vactions, pool, shopping & planning for college,
spending quaility time with my friends & family
and making it one to remember. 
turning 18.
becoming a legal adult..
ugh that word will take a little while to get used to
college life.
starting a new chapter of my life that i have a feeling
i am going to beyond love. starting "the best years of my life"
home for holidays.
for the first time i will experience coming home
for the holidays & to see my high school friends & family.

most of all i cannot wait to see what God has planned for my life this year..
tomorrows blog is going to be about how he already has started.

everything flashback.

flashback to two thousand and ten.

two thousand and ten was a year that was so good to me

and one that i will never forget.

during the past year of my life i...

celebrated one year with superman.

attended my first prom.

had a killer junior year.
& officially became a senior.



won a state championship in softball.

traveled to california.

       

brother got three baseballs at all three mlb parks.

he caught a home run ball from his favorite player.

(everyone in the stadium that saw it was clapping & yelling)

beach trip with superman's family.

 

celebrated superman's 17th birthday.

 

3 days later i turned the big ONE SEVEN.

 

my brother started middle school!

last high school football season.

homecoming court.

superman's first senior night.

lost my best friend of 12.5 years.

my best friend turned 18.

last basketball season.

boys basketball--undefeated in the 1st half of the season.

 after changing the date three times..

finally it was time to surprise

the birthday girl.

of course she shows up to my house early

therefore i have to stall for about 30 minutes.

during the stall we exchanged christmas gifts.

she got me the best gifts ever..

(i will be posting pictures of them asap)

then of to MA mall we went.

on the way to the mall i get a text message

from ds & bb saying..

"OH CRAP! WE ARE RIGHT BEHIND YOU & CHRIS"

chris did notice them when they passed us to turn

left to go to chili's while we went straight to the mall.

but she still didn't even question anything.

she still was clueless about the whole thing.

now for the big surprise.

on our way to chili's from the mall chris asked me..

"do you think blake went to chili's?

that would be funny if he is there."

i just played it off and changed the subject.

once we pulled into the chili's parking lot

at 8 o'clock on the dot.

we could see everyone in the restaurant.

chris looked at me and said

"andrew, sarah, jack, and haven are here.

oh look blake is too."

but still she didn't even realize.

i even yelled..

SURPRISE!

but she just kept driving and parked

right beside superman's jeep.

she even said that looks like superman's jeep.

& that's when once again i yelled..

SURPRISE!

& at that moment it hit here that we were all here for her.

after an amazing dinner with chris & all of our friends

(& watching jm attempt to hit on the waitress)

i could truly tell that chris loved the surprise.

but you know what they say...

the third time is a charm.

she means everything to me.

chris i love you.

today chris is the big one eight.

 

chris and i have been best friends since middle school.
the girl knows more about myself then i do.
she definitly is always taking care of me.
i truly do believe that we are long lost sisters.
we have been through it all from laughing until we cannot breath
to crying our broken hearts out.
or in some cases so happy we bust into tears..

i will never forget the day we won the game that sent us to the little league world series. after the last strike was thrown chris sprinted & picked me up and we stood in the middle of the field crying tears of joy and didnt realize there was anyone else in the ballpark until we were the only ones left out on the field.

she is the most caring and loyal person i know.
i know that she would do anything for me.
i have her to thank for the life long memories that she
has provided me mean more than anything to me.
