nothing but relaxation.

the last week of july was a week well needed.

a week of relaxation.

a week of zero stress or worries.

a week with four people (& a puppy)

that mean a lot to me.

everthing weird.

the other night i was laying on my bed with ginny

when my phone vibrated..

it was facebook buzzing to tell me i had a message

so i looked and this is exactly what i found.

i would just like to note the exact quote today at the daycare was as follows...

little girl: "do you know kyle's girlfriend?"

morgan: "yeah, she's one of my good friends actually. why?"

little girl: "she's so lucky. kyle's hot! but he's kinda weird though...she has to be weird to put up with him."

morgan: "yep she's weird too. but its cute."

(: just thought i would share that all the little girls at the daycare are insanely jealous of you.

it made my night for three reasons

number one--i love miss.mo and i was so glad to hear from here.

number two--it gave me a good laugh for sure.

number three--this message brought me back to a memory that is very ironic.

almost two years ago for our six month anniversary superman wrote me a letter that had the following quote in it..

"we are all a little weird and life's a little weird, and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours, we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.”

besides the fact that this goes perfecting with the conversation but this the quote that morgan titled her blog from..very ironic.

finally everything july.

just in case you missed the obvious..

ive been slacking when it comes to blogging in my life lately.

so i thought why not start again with some monthly goals.

since to no ones surprise i didnt make june goals

let me first fill you in briefly on my life over the past month.

i experienced my last days walking down the hall of ES as a student.

watched my best friend win her third state championship.

packed packed and packed for the beach.

ended a chapter of my life that has meant so much to me by

turning my tassel.

became an alumni of ES.

had the best week of my life at senior week.

joined all 499 of the other upcoming freshman teaching fellows in raleigh.

experienced many first iv, surgery, and stitches thanks to my wisdom teeth.
and so much more...

nothing forgotten.

as my cap and gown are now just something hanging my closet

my tassel no longer hangs from my mirror in my car

and i am no longer a student at ESHS..

the memories have not been forgotten.

as i was getting dressed for graduation july 10th i thought to myself..

i cannot believe this day ive been working toward
 for 13 years is finally here. 
the place that has impacted my life in so many ways
is soon going to be a place of my past.
a place filled with the people i love.
the people that have taught me life lessons
and helped me make memories that will forever
 hold a special place in my heart.
today is the end.
today is the beginning.


the last touch to my graduation outfit was
a "forget knot" ring.

i never wanted to forget what high school has given me.
and i never wanted to forget my last step..graduation.
after walking into the gym,
listening to the speeches,
listening to alex sing,
walking across the stage,
and turning my tassel.
i looked down at my left hand and just take it all in &
tried to truly capture the moment and my mixed emotions.

 

this ring will soon be kept in my high school memory box

along with many other items from the highlight moments

 over the past four years that i cherish deeply.

fun sun and nothing else.

may 27th

senior awards day.

the day i thought was so far away

and now its come and gone.

with only four more days

of walking through the halls of ES as a student

and less than two weeks until graduation

everything is quickly coming to an end.

nothing unlucky.

last friday was

friday the thirteenth.

as a reward for surviving ap calculus

our class took a trip to carowinds.

let me back up and say

i am a senior in high school

and yes my parents are roller coaster junkies

but no i have never rode a roller coaster.

friday may 13th, 2011

was the day. the day i rode my 1st roller coaster.

as well as allie.



waiting in lane for our first roller coaster.
i was a little more excited than her.



the intimidater was the lucky one.

as soon as i stepped off i knew

i was officially addicted to roller coasters.

then it was off to many many more roller coasters.

im already planning my next trip.

yes i am 17 years old

yes i am only a few months away from being 18.

yes ive almost had my license for 2 years.
yes i do have my own car.

but i have never pumped gas.

to watch superman play baseball.

he has quite a passion for this sport.

even though his high school sports career

is slowly winding down he will forever

this chapter of my life is coming to a quick end

but the next one is so exciting.

there is no one else that i would have rather spent

this chapter of my life with than you superman.

the 2011 ES basball seniors.

 

everything easter.

sunday morning i woke up to a basket full of goodies.

a few more hands than usual helped make my easter morning.

in my basket was the typical..

gift cards face wash toothpaste

shampoo conditioner chapstick

candy candy & more candy

all thanks to my wonderful parents.

but this year i also had a special surprise

thanks to ms.courtsimms..
a meredith college tshirt.
with the statement
"its not a girls school with no men,
its a women's college with no boys"

then my mother handed me and envelope

the first thing i noticed was this is not her handwriting..

she had me stumped.

i was surprised to find a lovely letter

from jennifer my big sis at meredith
as well as a sticker for my car.

it really made my morning that these two girls

took the time to make my morning so special.

but ive been just a little busy.

saturday was well..

my senior prom.

this year i decided to try to do everything myself.

from nails to makeup and all the inbetweens..

minus my hair which was done by the amazing penny.
